Author Guidelines

These guidelines summarize the requirements for preparing and submitting manuscripts to TRM. They follow Apex Science Publication's standard journal requirements for transparent peer review, research integrity, complete metadata, and durable online publication.

Submission and peer review

Manuscripts should be original, not under consideration elsewhere, and prepared for editorial screening, single-blind peer review, revision, production checks, and online publication.

Article types

Article, Review, Letter, and Editorial, with article-level coverage for original research, clinical trials, translational reports, methods, and rehabilitation technology studies.

Article

Original research, clinical studies, translational rehabilitation reports, technology evaluation, methods, and implementation studies.

Review

Narrative reviews, systematic reviews, scoping reviews, meta-analyses, and evidence-based rehabilitation syntheses.

Letter and Editorial

Short scholarly correspondence, editorial commentary, invited perspectives, and launch-stage editorial content.

Manuscript files and metadata

  • Title page with full author names, affiliations, ORCID IDs where available, and corresponding author details.
  • Structured abstract, keywords, main text, references, figures, tables, supplementary material, and required declarations.
  • Ethics approval, consent, clinical trial registration when applicable, funding, conflicts of interest, data availability, and AI disclosure.
  • Clear description of intervention, population, outcomes, follow-up period, statistical methods, and limitations.

Reporting guidelines

Authors should follow relevant reporting standards such as CONSORT, SPIRIT, PRISMA, STROBE, CARE, ARRIVE, TRIPOD, or discipline-specific rehabilitation and technology reporting guidance when applicable.

Open access and charges

TRM uses CC BY-ND as the planned publication license. The launch-stage APC policy is APC free.

After acceptance

Accepted papers will enter copyediting, layout, metadata preparation, DOI registration, proof review, and online publication. Production requirements will be finalized before launch.

Pre-submission checklist

  • The manuscript fits the journal scope.
  • All authors and affiliations are complete and verified.
  • Ethics, consent, funding, conflicts, data, code, and AI disclosure statements are included.
  • Figures and tables are publication-ready and permissions are cleared.
  • Clinical trial or review registration is provided when required.
